Enjoy Dahlia Flowers

I love this image from SLS Lines called  Dahlia Flowers Bouquet and decided to make a card using it.  Flower cards can be used for many occasions and always nice to have on hand.

The image was coloured with Copic Markers, a gell and glitter pen then  die cut and layered over several layers of pattern paper. To complete the card I added a couple of brads, one with a sentiment on it.

Be sure to check out the stamps at SLS Lines as Sal will be discontinuing her stamps very soon.  We are sorry to see her go, so be sure to grab the stamps you love from her store before they are gone forever.

What's New Pussycat???

Hi Everyone

Today I am sharing a set of 3 altered 6 x 4 index cards using digis from the Cute House Cat Set available at the SLS Lines Store!!!!
My mixed media cards have gelli print backgrounds - printed directly onto the lined index card,

I also did some stamping with some leaf/branches and circles (stamps from Dylusions) and I added some extra colour with pastels.

Then I added texture paste through stencils, some torn washi tape and drew a border with a fine black marker.

To finish up I added the fussy cut kitties and computer generated wording!

As you can see the cats were printed onto old book pages and coloured with pastel pencils - love the effect and you will have seen earlier in the month DT Member Susan printed her image on a page and coloured - so effective! And Corrie Herriman posted at Facebook a dog postcard in which she had stamped the dog onto a book page and cut out - it was such a great look - of course I have done it with cats but I got the inspiration from her!!

I am so happy with how these came out!!!

Hope you feel inspired to pop over to the store and grab some images to try this yourself!!

Perfectly Imperfect

Here's a fun image from SLS Lines today.  This fun image is called Goth Boy with Bats. (Check out all the other fun Goth images HERE).  I am using a fun red and black combo and I though this image would be great for cards around Halloween time.
Be sure to check out the stamps at SLS Lines as she will be discontinuing stamps soon.  We are sad to see them go, so be sure to grab all the images you love from her store now.

Judy's September's Inspiration

I made this quick art journal page for this weeks inspiration.  I was inspired by several dictionary prints that I have seen on the web and thought I would give it a try with this neat image that Sal has designed for us. The image is called Beatnik Cat with Cigarette which can be found in SLS Lines shop here

I coloured the image with Copics, Posca Pens and a silver marker.  To complete the page I added a sentiment.  Hope this gives you a idea for your next project.

We currently have a ongoing challenge at SLS Lines and the theme this month is a Tic Tac Toe. Please join in the fun.  If you would like to see some other great digital stamps check out the SLS Lines Store here.

Introducing our September Guest Designer......

Hi SLS Lines Fans!

Please welcome Wendy who is our Guest Designer for September!!!

"Hi my name is Wendy and I love to color and craft with digital and rubber stamps. It is such an inexpensive and relaxing hobby. I would like to thank the folks at SLS Lines for inviting me to be a guest designer this month. I was able to choose two digital stamps from the Etsy shop for my projects. There is a variety of stamps and themes in the shop. The stamps are fun to color and craft with. No matter what your skill level is or your coloring medium, I hope you have been inspired to enter the SLS Lines Challenge this month."

Wendy has used "Book Lover Reading Girl" from the SLS Lines Store for her card above.
I love the colours and great background patterned paper - just perfect for this image.

Wendy is also joining us for another inspiration post on September 20th so stay tuned for more of her creative work!

You can check out more of Wendy's amazing creations at her blog "Wendylynn's Paper Whims".

Inspiration page by Titbelsoeur

Hi there ! Titbelsoeur here today,
I have painted the 3 monkeys with watercolor :

SLS

and the background is made with the canvas sheet that protects my craft table. When it is saturated, I change it and use the leftover to make pages. Have you ever tried to do that ?

Just have a try with the lovely Sock Monkey Best Friends Trio
