Say Cheese!

Hello SLS Lines Fans!!

Say Cheese!!!

Today I am sharing a quick birthday card I made for my daughter's boyfriend a few weeks ago - couldn't resist having some fun and using this funny guy again and it's always good to get some inspiration to make a male appropriate card!!

You can find this cheesy "goth" guy in the Store here. He's also part of this colouring book with lots of other cool "goth" images - too good to resist and think how many co-ordinating cards you can make with all the images!!!!!

Background patterned papers are from a little 6 x 6 pad I have had for ages "Prima Engraver Collection" - I love the neutral colours and the designs. Goth boy coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut. I cut the wording and camera on my Silhouette. A fun card!

Remember we always have a challenge running with the opportunity to win some images so check it out here at the blog along with the other amazing DT creations!!

Kate's Autumn Inspiration

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing my SLSLines Inspiration make with you today

I decided I wanted a challenge and chose to use 'Air Fairy with Long Flowing Hair' and coloured her with ProMarkers and added clear Wink of Stella Glitter pen to her necklace & the edges of the rolled roses. I used gems, pearls, Stickles & Liquid Pearls for the bubbles. The papers I used are from the fab 'Leaves & Florals Brown Kraft Style' paper pack and I also used them to make the rolled roses which have pale green gems in the centre

I hope you like my card as much as I liked colouring all that amazing hair :)

Holley's Handsome Pirate

Here's a great image from SLS Lines, this Pirate is one handsome man.  I used one of the newest card die cut sets from Sizzix to create this foldout card.  Here's the front of the card which I embellished with this Tattered Lace die cut and pirate flag charm.

Inside the card stands up and you can see the Handsome Pirate from SLS Lines.  How fun is that?  SLS Lines has several other great pirate images to go with this set as well as a paper collection that matches perfectly.  Here I added some Bling which also seemed so appropriate for the topic.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  Check out the latest challenge over on the SLS Lines blog and keep and eye out for the new challenge, which will begin on Oct 12th!

Cheers, Holley

Happy Dia De Los Muertos

Dia De Los Muertos will actually start tomorrow on Nov 1.  Are you familiar with this holiday?  Having grown up in San Antonio, TX, I am.  It's actually very similar to a day celebrated by many Christians called All Saint's Day.  Dia de los Muertos in English, Day of the Dead is a celebration, but also a very respectful day for those who have passed.  It is a day of remembrance for all the family and friends who are gone.  In many cultures a table is set up with photos and beloved articles of the deceased person along with candles and gifts.  People gather and tell stories and visit the graves to leave their loved ones offerings which they believe will prevent the dead from haunting them. Overall is very much a celebration of the people who have come before you.

I hope you love this stunning image from SLS Lines today, she's called Day of the Dead Calaveras Girl. Such a beautiful image.  Be sure and check out her other awesome stamps over at the SLS Lines store on Etsy.  Also, we are having a fun Challenge over on the SLS Lines Challenge blog, click the button above that says Challenge, and join in the fun with us, we'd love to see your creations.

Sugar Skull Masks

Afternoon everyone Marie here,
Just thought id pop along and share with you what I did with one of the Sugar Skull images.

I blew the image up to full A4 size and printed it off 3 times. I coloured the images in using coloured pencils and promarkers.

I cut the skulls out and mounted them onto a 3 kebab skewers so that they can be handheld masks all ready for Halloween on Saturday to give the trick or treaters a little scare.
