Nude Tag Art....

Sharon again sharing some more "nude" inspiration - this time by way of "Tag Art"!

I love to create tags - it's fun to create different backgrounds with mixed media and see all the different effects you can get from products.

Today I have 2 tags using 2 digis available at the store in the "Pin Up Girls" Colouring Book - so tasteful and I love the vintage pin up style of these digis.

I love the colours of this tag - purple and aqua. I painted the background of this tag and then stamped a Tim Holtz "Swirl" stamp with clear embossing ink and embossed with a vibrant "WOW" Purple Glitter Embossing Powder - love the sparkle! Image coloured with Copic Markers and I added some purple ribbon behind the image and at the top of the tag. To finish off I added a peacock feather and the word "exquisite".

My second tag has a dry brush acrylic paint background - love the warm colours of red and orange with a bit of white to lighten it. Image again coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I added some sticky mesh down one side and sheer ribbon at the top and for fun added a little butterfly!

Hope you might feel inspired to try some tag art yourself and pop over to the SLS Lines Store and grab yourself some new images to colour!

And don't forget we always have a challenge running here at the blog so lets see your creations linked up!

I'm the boss!

Here's an awesome image from artist Sal Scheibe of SLS Lines.  She makes the most awesome images, both beautiful and quirky.  I adore her sense of humor!  This image is called
Goth Marie Antoinette.  Too cool. I colored her up with a blue wig to matched the color of the shimmery paper that I used on the card. I had to add some wonderful skulls to match the skull in her hair and on her necklace.    I guarantee you that this lady IS the boss.

The fun borders come from Spellbinders and the skulls are from Frantic Stamper.  I hope you will drop by the Etsy page of SLS Lines and check out all of SLS Line's other fun images.  There's also a monthly challenge blog that you can play in, CLICK HERE.  This artist will also do custom images for you, check out her amazing examples!

Cheers, Holley

Pretty Flower Lady!

Sharon yet again sharing some more "inspiration" for you with one of the new release images for April - "Pretty Flower Lady" - available at the store!

I just love creating journal pages and this image was so striking that I decided to print her out at a decent size and really make her the focus of the page.

Page background is a mix of acrylic paint, sprays and stamping along with texture paste and a flower stencil I made on my Cameo Silhouette. Flower Lady coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut and then mounted onto the page for a bit of dimension.

Love the colours on the page and the overall effect. Always satisfying when a page turns out as you imagined!!

Hope you are all happily crafting!
Make sure to visit the Store for more new images and to grab your favourites!

Cute Goth Girl with Teddy - Inspiration from Maureen

Good morning! It's Maureen here to share my Inspiration with you for April! I have coloured the 'Cute Goth Girl with Teddy' image using Promarkers and have coloured the background here too.
My papers are 12x12" Scrapbook papers from Stampin' Up which I've cut down for use on a C5 card blank. I fussy cut a frame from the center of one of the papers to use as the main embellishment for the card. I've used other papers from the same set and added a Martha Stewart rosette and some die cut bats and spiders.
Thanks for looking!

Hipster girl inspiration with Bettina

Bettina here today and it is my turn to show a little inspiration piece that I made. I did go all winter on this one as we can't have too many Christmas cards. Right?? Hope you'll like it.

I've used Hipster girl for my piece and you can find her here. I also teamed her with some TH snowflake edge die and used my new Go Kreate die for the card shape. She's coloured with my promarkers. I will have more details in my blog for you a bit later today. Hope you liked it!

Zombie Lady Portrait - Crafting Vicky

Hello everyone! I've gotten totally HOOKED to doing some mixed media!  It's so fun and dirty lol  For this inspiration post I'm sharing something I made using  Zombie Lady.  I thought she would be perfect for my little altered children book about coffee!

Let's be honest... lots of us would look like zombies if we didn't have some coffee in the morning... and even then bwahahahaha

And here's a closer look at the great digi that I colored with my copics.

So do you think that she needs her coffee?!?  I would be giving it to her to make sure that she got away from me lol.  You can check out all the details on how I made this on my blog.

Hope you have liked my inspiration for you go and check out the fabulous digis in the store.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Hugs
