Goth Girl with Heart balloons - Crafting Vicky

Hello everyone!  In keeping with my resolution to do some other stuff than just card I'm here today to share with you a little bookmark that I did with the awesome and quirky  Goth Girl with Heart balloon.  This will be a great bookmark for a friend :)

It's fun that I've been sharing other stuff than cards!!!  Hope I can continue doing that a bit more this year.

And here's a closer look at the great digi that I colored with my copics and then fussy cut.

So what do you think?!?  Is that a fun make?! I really love that this image can be used so easily with other hair color than the typical one... That's also something that I don't do enough.  If you want to know more on how I did this please come and check out my blog.

Hope you have liked my inspiration for you go and check out the fabulous digis in the store.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Hugs

Holley's Inspiration for February

Here's an awesome image called Snow Queen.  Don't you just love her?  I was totally ready to print this girl out as soon as I got her! I colored her up with an icy scheme of blue hair with matching dress, boots, and staff.

I did all the background in white and added some sparkly ribbon with some flocked snowflakes. I hope this gives you the chills!

Cheers, Holley

Sharon's First Post!

Hi Everyone

I'm Sharon and I'm Guest Designing here at SLS Lines for a few months and this is my first post here!

I just love the range of quirky digis available at the SLS Lines Etsy Store - I like things that are not so "normal" LOL so Sal's images are absolutely perfect for me & I am so looking forward to creating & sharing here!

Today I'm sharing a tag made using "Goth Girl with Heart Balloons" click here to be taken to the direct link at the store. As you can see I have only printed part of the image on my tag - I love the effect!

This tag is really quite quick to make - good for when you want to create something in a hurry that still looks effective and complicated!!

Here's some quick instructions for you - and I'd love to see your creations if you decide to have a go - leave me a link in the comments section here and I'll "pop over" and leave you a comment on how fantastic it looks!!

I started with a scrap piece of card and cut it to a tag shape - punched a hole at the top and then coloured it with Distress Stains and a tiny bit of acrylic paint. Put your stains and paint on a mat or I use alfoil sometimes and drag your tag through the colour, keep lifting & dabbing until the whole tag is coloured and then let dry. Next simply print part of the whole of your image onto the tag. I decided to add some "highlight" colour with Copic Markers to the eyes, lips and basic hair outline plus a bit of sparkle for her eyeshadow! The black flower vine is simply a rub on strip - looks effective! Then I added some of my gyprock sticky mesh which a "tradie" left at our house after some renovation work and it's now one of my favourite "add ons". Sponge the edges with distress ink, add some Distress Stain dyed ribbon to the top. I found a little cross sticker which I added to her necklace. There we go all done in record time!

Hope you like this and feel "inspired" to get creating!

See you all again next month and thanks to Sal & the SLS "Team" for having me!

First Post from Susan R!

Hi! Susan R here...

I was absolutely delighted to be invited to join the Design Team of SLSLines
and here is my first Inspiration!!

I thought the best way to introduce myself was show you some of the things I like to do...

First, I was so pleased to use Goth Girl with Heart Balloons.
I printed her out in different sizes:

I like to use Promarkers and colour schemes involving black, white, greys and one other colour.
Here the added colour is pink!

I like to make ATC's so here is Goth Girl on an ATC.

I also like fancy folds so here is Goth Girl on a  twisted easel.

Both cards involve matting and layering DP from my stash.
For the easel card I have used oval and rectangular nesting dies
and TH Spun Sugar Distress Ink to emphasise the shapes.
The sentiment is a stamp I have from Little Claire.
I have added ribbon and brads again from my stash...
Find more details on my blog

Do remember that the Portraits Challenge is still open
and we would love to see your creations there!

Happy Crafting!
